Kara Lawrence is a versatile 3D Artist with professional work experience spanning over 15 years. Currently specializing in Previz and Layout, she has completed work as an Animator on several shows such as "Robozuna", two Emmy award winning shows Dreamworks "Dinotrux" and “Beat Bugs”, along with the Disney show “Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates”. Layout work includes Rough Layout on the feature film "Troll: The Tale of a Tail", on the live action films "Alien: Covenant", "Wonder Woman", "Ghost in the Shell", "Spider-Man: No Way Home", "Matilda", "Tetris", "Peter Pan & Wendy", "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever". TV shows include the Marvel show "What If...?", Foundation and Road House. Recently she was leading a team on an independent feature film "Space Cadet", directed by Kid Koala.
In addition to numerous freelance design jobs ranging from motion graphics, live action previsualization, game app 3D modeling to architectural rendering, Kara has a background in Graphic Design and a well-rounded education in the Visual Arts. While obtaining a Bachelor of Media Arts degree at Emily Carr University, Lawrence created an award winning film "Oriana" (09) which screened across Canada, the US and Portugal. It is currently included as part of the book “Livro aberto” with the Portugal publisher Porto Editora, and being used as a teaching aid in over 600 schools.
